For thick calluses we recommend soaking the callus in warm water. Do this for about 5 to 10 minutes or until the skin softens. Followed by exfoliating the callus with a pumice stone. First dip the pumice stone in warm water, and then use the stone to gently file the callus. Use circular or sideways motions to remove dead skin. Be careful not to take off too much skin or over-exfoliate the feet more than 1X/day. Doing so could cause bleeding and infection.
Dry feet and apply EMUAIDMAX to the area. Please be sure to apply EMUAIDMAX the minimum of 3X per day. This will kill and prevent infection while moisturizing and healing the skin.
We also suggest using padding to protect calluses from further irritation during activity, wearing shoes that properly fit, as well as keeping your toenails trimmed.
