Hello,
Perioral Dermatitis is an inflammatory rash that often looks like acne. It affects the skin around the mouth and can spread to cover larger areas of the face. Perioral Dermatitis can look very similar to the bumps and pimples of rosacea, and the rash may cause a burning and/or itching sensation. It's unknown what exactly causes it, but it’s thought to be caused by the prolonged use of steroidal creams, an overuse of heavy moisturizing agents, and more recently, many people are experiencing Perioral Dermatitis due to prolonged use of facemasks especially where harsh detergents are used in cleansing of reusable cloth facemasks.
