Hi,
Since the skin is already very sensitive, especially with open wounds and slower healing, we recommend starting with EMUAID® First Aid Ointment (regular strength, blue and white label). This formula is gentler on delicate or compromised skin and is often preferred for areas that are open, irritated, or fragile.
EMUAID® helps by soothing irritation, reducing redness, and creating a protective barrier over the skin. It also supports the skin’s natural healing process while helping to keep the area clean with its antibacterial properties. This can be especially helpful when the skin is struggling to repair itself.
As the skin begins to improve and becomes less sensitive, you can always transition to EMUAIDMAX® for a stronger approach if needed. For now, due to the surgical wound and additional cuts, starting with the regular strength is the safest and most supportive option.
Apply a thin layer 3 times a day to the affected area, making sure the skin is clean before each application.
If you have any questions or would like guidance along the way, we are always here to help.
